The Government of Tanzania is determined to support different innovations for the industrial development.
The Deputy Minister for Education, Science and Technology, William Ole Nasha made the statement yesterday when officially opening the Innovation Week organised by Commission for Science and Technology being held at the Village Museum, Kijitonyama area in Dar es Salaam.
Hon. Ole Nasha said innovation was one of the important aspects of industrial development and therefore the government is ready to support innovation initiatives being undertaken by different institutions in the country.
He said there has been innovation exhibitions in six regions in the country and that next week another innovation week will be held in Dodoma to stimulate innovation activities in the country.
“The Government is here to support any innovation because it is one of the facilitating factors in industrial development,” he said.
He strongly urged the youth to be involved in innovation activities and the government would be ready to support them.
Government and private institutions are exhibit different innovations.
