Biography

Aloyce Mwambwiga is an Archaeologist and Curator in Charge of the Museum and House of Culture based in Dar es Salaam. Aloyce’s research focuses on palaeoecology, archaeological sciences, lithic analysis and the archaeology of Oldupai/Olduvai Gorge (Tanzania). His Education and academic training include a BA in History & Archaeology, University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (2013), MA in Heritage Management, University of Kent, UK (2017) and PhD in Archaeology from the University of Calgary, Canada (2025).  Dr Aloyce has co-author on high-profile multi-authored papers from Oldupai research, which can be assessed through his Google Scholar account: <https://scholar.google.ca/citations?user=qMA_0REAAAAJ&hl=en>.
